In the How layout works article, we've explained how layouts on the web naturally flow from top to bottom. However, many designs will require you to layout elements horizontally, or distribute them across the screen. The Align and Justify controls in Handoff allow you to precisely specify how elements are arranged and distributed.

Direction

By default, elements are displayed horizontally. Setting Direction to Vertical will display elements vertically.

Align

• Start – Displays elements at the top.
• Center – Displays elements at the center.
• End – Displays elements at the bottom.
• Stretch – Displays elements stretched out from top to bottom.

Justify

• Start – Displays elements on the left.
• Center – Displays elements at the center.
• End – Displays elements on the right.
